This camera strap, crafted from silk cord, is beloved as a stylish accessory for traditional Japanese attire. The strap showcases the unique, soft texture and beautiful luster of silk, while the craftsmanship of skilled artisans in Kyoto ensures that each piece is durable yet gentle on the skin. The strap is carefully woven using the ‘Ayatake’ technique, a traditional method dating back to the Kamakura period, originally used for making ‘omogai’ (decorative cords for horse gear, including bridles and reins).
Stunning Gradient with Natural Dyes
The distinctive feature of this weaving style is its ability to create a variety of patterns depending on how the threads are combined. The strap features a stunning gradient transition from black to red and from black to silver, showcasing subtle color changes that are meticulously dyed using natural dyes. The experienced artisans adjust the dyeing process according to the temperature and humidity to achieve the perfect tone.

In this updated release, a longer 1,170 mm version (ACAM-322A) has been added to the collection. The updated model features stainless steel rings that are stronger, more durable, and less stressful on the fingers or nails during attachment and removal. Additionally, the leather parts are unified in black to complement the strap's elegant gradient.
