The naturally soft texture and subtle luster of silk give the strap a luxurious feel, while skilled artisans at a long-established kumihimo workshop in Kyoto meticulously hand-braid each piece to ensure durability and a gentle touch against the skin.
This strap features the traditional Yurugi-gumi (Crown Braid) technique, known for its resistance to twisting and its ability to evenly distribute weight, reducing strain on the neck for comfortable, long-term use. Thanks to silk’s inherent flexibility, the strap can also be wrapped around the wrist or knotted to adjust the length as needed.
