We are excited to introduce the revitalized version of the Silk-Cord Strap, a flat design crafted by skilled artisans using traditional braiding techniques. Released in November 2024, they are available in two lengths: ACAM-310A (Standard Length) and ACAM-320A (Long Length).
Tradition Meets Modern Comfort
This high-quality neck strap is made from silk braid, a material cherished in traditional Japanese clothing. Its soft texture and beautiful luster, combined with the meticulous craftsmanship of experienced artisans from a long-established Kyoto braiding shop, result in a durable strap that is gentle on the skin. Featuring a traditional flat design, this strap is flexible and resistant to twisting, providing comfort even during extended use. The unique flexibility of silk allows for versatile usage, whether wrapping it around your hand or tying it for length adjustment, making it suitable for both everyday and special occasions.
Enhanced Design with Modern Upgrade
Additionally, a new 1,200mm long type has been added to the collection (ACAM-320A). The leather fastening features a reinforced white hand stitch at the center, embodying Artisan and Artist’s iconic design. In the revitalized model, we have changed the attachment ring from brass to stainless steel, enhancing flexibility. This improvement also makes the strap easier to handle and reduces strain on the fingers during attachment and removal. Furthermore, the leather has been updated to a modern smooth finish, with a refined foil-pressed logo thanks to new technology.
